I have been drawing and painting since my teenage days. When my Uncle John used to take me on painting trips in the Highlands of Scotland, where he would create a beautiful painting of a loch or mountains very quickly and I would struggle. But his inspiration was the starting point for my love of drawing and painting.  Drawing is fundamental to what I do. It is a constant to struggle to learn and hopefully improve. Recently I have returned to life drawing, which is a great way to learn. I work in different ways, which is often informed by my dyslexia. This creates a scatter gun of approaches and themes as well as murals, paintings, drawings, sculpture, etc. A  common theme is often the human figure in an environment, often urban.
